Best described as ‘Shaun of the Dead’ meets ‘La La Land’, ‘Anna and the Apocalypse’ is the Zombie Christmas Musical taking the festive film season by storm. When a zombie apocalypse threatens the sleepy town of Little Haven - at Christmas - Anna and her friends are forced to fight, slash and sing their way to survival, facing the undead in a desperate race to reach their loved ones. But they soon discover that no one is safe in this new world, and with civilization falling apart around them, the only people they can truly rely on are each other. At a special screening in The Venue cinema at Bishop Grosseteste University (BGU) on Tuesday 18 December; movie-goers looking to experience this unique mixture of festive cheer and gory misadventure will also be able to enjoy a Q&A with Tracy Jarvis, one of the film’s producers. This is a perfect opportunity for anyone interested in a career in film making, or simply a fan of zombie, Christmas or musical cinema to speak with professionals first hand. Tickets are £6.00 for Adults, £5.50 for Concessions and £5.00 for under 25’s. A £7 student deal (including popcorn and a soft drink) is also available. To find out how to book your tickets, visit The Venue’s website. Please note that as the film is certified ‘15’, this will also apply to the Q&A event.
