The Complete University Guide 2026 has ranked Bishop Grosseteste University in 2nd place for Student Satisfaction in the UK.
This distinguished award is a welcome recognition of our students’ views on the quality of our teaching, research and knowledge exchange and their positive experience at our university.
Alongside this award, we were also placed in the Top 20 universities for Graduate Prospects in the UK.
Nick Gee, Executive Dean of Faculty at BGU, said: “We are absolutely delighted to receive these fantastic league table rankings for both Student Satisfaction and Graduate Prospects, which showcase the dedication and care shown by our outstanding teaching and support staff, and represent a well-deserved reflection of their unwavering commitment to supporting and inspiring our students.
“These recognitions also attest to our promise to provide students with the skills needed for a life of impact and offer clear evidence, in practice, of our core value of excellence.”
The Complete University Guide publishes independent and clear university league tables and rankings, providing students with important information for their university research. To help students make the right choice, subject specific results are also available in the league tables.
We are incredibly proud to have also placed 3rd for Student Satisfaction in English and 5th for Student Satisfaction in Psychology.
Thomas Dunn, Programme Leader for Psychology, said: “We are absolutely delighted to see our Psychology department recognised as one of the top five in the country for student satisfaction.
“This achievement is a testament to the dedication, expertise, and passion of our exceptional team. We are deeply committed to continually enhancing the student experience and ensuring our teaching remains innovative, inspiring, and of the highest standard.”
Professor Claudia Capancioni, Programme Leader for English, said: “We are delighted to know that our students value our teaching and support and celebrate their transformative learning experience with us.
“The ranking undoubtedly rewards our team's work and most importantly, recognises the effective, collaborative rapport we build together with our students.”
The data utilised throughout the league tables is sourced via information available in the public domain.
The award for Student Satisfaction is based on data collected via the National Student Survey (NSS) 2024, where final-year undergraduate students can share their views.
