Over two days the collaborative event provided attendees, many of whom were existing or budding entrepreneurs, with the opportunity to make exciting international connections along with discovering new ways of developing both their skills and their businesses.

Opening the conference Camilla Carlbom-Flinn, Honorary Finnish Consul to Lincolnshire and CEO of Carlbom Shipping, praised the event for bringing new ideas to the county:

“It is fantastic to be involved in an event that promotes such a unique and positive style of learning and I am incredibly proud that this is taking place in Lincolnshire”

For Chris Sandham, Project Lead for the conference and second year BGU student on the BA (Hons) Business (Team Entrepreneurship) degree, seeing the positive engagement taking place at the conference was a rewarding experience:

“Organising the T4L event has been an incredible opportunity to bring people together to explore innovative and exciting business practices.

"Given all the hard work from my team in the run up I was excited but nervous going into the conference but I am really happy to see how many people have engaged with our activities and I can’t wait to see what impact it will have”

Dr Elinor Vettraino, Head Coach and Programme Lead for Business & Enterprise at BGU, led two workshops at the conference and she described her pride at what the student organisers had accomplished:

“T4L is an exciting opportunity for BGU to form and be part of a global network. The entire event has been organised by our students, utilising the skills gained from their course, and you can see the impact of the unique ‘Learn by Doing’ approach both on them and those attending. All of us on the enterprise team are looking forward to further growing the course”
