We are delighted to announce that we will be hosting the prestigious Lincoln GP Sportive Cycle Ride on Saturday, 10th May 2025.

One of the largest cycling weekends in the country, the Lincoln GP Sportive will bring hundreds of cycling enthusiasts to our campus for what promises to be an exciting day of competition and camaraderie.

The event, organised by ITP Events, will see riders departing from our campus early on Saturday morning. The riders will head out through our campus gates to begin their journey through the picturesque countryside. Participants will begin gathering from 6:30am, with the official start taking place at 8:00am outside our Refectory.

"We are thrilled to welcome this major sporting event to BGU," said Jayne Robinson, Head of Conferencing and Events. "Hosting the Lincoln GP Sportive continues to show BGU’s commitment to supporting community events and showcasing our excellent facilities to visitors from across the UK and beyond."

The Lincoln GP Sportive is part of the wider Lincoln Grand Prix weekend, which includes the Rapha Lincoln Grand Prix races on Sunday - one of British cycling's most celebrated events.

Weare also offering accommodation to participants at our new student village. This provides a perfect opportunity for riders to make a weekend of it and enjoy everything Lincoln has to offer.

We expect to welcome approximately 900 participants and supporters throughout the day, with special arrangements in place to accommodate the influx of visitors while minimising disruption to the local area.
