According to the Graduate Outcomes (GO) survey, BGU is ranked 3rd in the UK for employability when compared to non-specialist universities. A staggering 91% of BGU graduates are in employment or further study 15 months after graduation.
This success followed the release of this year’s National Student Survey (NSS) results and BGU is pleased to report a continued rise in the satisfaction levels from this year’s graduating undergraduate students.
High satisfaction was found across the entire student experience including learning, teaching and academic support; leading to an 85% satisfaction rate. This places BGU above the sector average and one of the top 40 universities in the country for student satisfaction.
Creating an environment where students feel that they can make their voices heard and be an active part of developing their university experience is a key element of our drive for excellence.
Dr Rob Boast, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Students), leads the collaborative partnership between staff and students:
“At BGU we are dedicated to placing the student voice at the heart of what we do and the NSS provides an excellent opportunity for us to evolve and improve as an institution based on feedback from student communities.
It is great to see that initiatives we’ve worked on with our students from previous surveys are promoting the positive and rewarding learning environment we pride ourselves for.
The months ahead will likely present all universities with new challenges but I am confident that the relationship we’ve built with our students will help all of us to succeed. We are committed to ensuring our students enjoy a high-quality experience throughout their time with us, and I look forward to seeing what we can accomplish over the next year and beyond by working in partnership with our students.”
