One of the biggest challenges of remote working, and especially working from home, is that it can become easy to get lost in your work without the usual interactions and distractions that office work can offer.

This can lead to a loss in productivity, along with increased tiredness and headaches.

To help keep you motivated and to avoid spending too much with your eyes on a screen or document try to make use of the ‘20 20 20’ rule.

After every 20 minutes spent staring at a screen, or single document, shift your eyes to something different that is roughly 20 feet away from you and look at it for at least 20 seconds.

Not only will this boost your mental productivity by giving your brain a chance to recharge it will also support your physical health by encouraging you to change your posture and make use of different muscles in your eyes.

For a very simple action you could be looking at enormously positive results. Make sure to try it out for yourself.
