Who can become an Ambassador?
We believe that the best people to talk about the University and higher education in general are those that are going through it, which is why this scheme is open to all our students. Whether you are a first year student or somebody in the final year of your degree, you all have something to offer… experience. We want to use your experience to help spread the word!
In addition, we have an extension of the programme for graduates who want to get involved. For further information on this please email outreach@bishopg.ac.uk
What will I get out of becoming an Ambassador?
As a Ambassador you will work with students who are thinking about higher education or applying to a course here. You will see your confidence grow as you inspire people to think about their future and you will really feel you are making a difference, your skills and knowledge will expand as you meet Student Ambassadors from other courses and year groups where you will share good practice along the way. The ambassador Programme is a great way to get involved at university, Ambassadors are widely known across campus for producing high quality information and advice, and for being exceptional at promoting higher education. It is well known that employers are looking more and more for transferable skills, experience and commitment. By being an Ambassador you are displaying all these qualities and therefore it looks great on your CV. Do you remember when you applied to university, did you have a campus tour, did you speak to someone in a purple t-shirt on an Open Day…did someone inspire you to apply – that could be you.
Be an inspiration… be an Ambassador!
