    Mathematics is vital in modern society, underpinning our understanding of the sciences, engineering, technology, finance and many other aspects of our everyday lives. Mathematics graduates are in short supply and we aim to provide you with the tools you need to make a real difference in the world and to those around you.
  4. Music
    These programmes offer each music student a course that develops musical knowledge, understanding, creativity and the rigorous musicianship skills needed to be an effective and employable musician or educator in the twenty-first century. In our undergraduate course you will be encouraged to develop your musicianship in a practical and theoretical way, giving you an excellent preparation for a range of musical careers and a springboard to further study.
  5. Special Educational Needs (SEN)
    You will explore different categories of need including; cognition & learning, social,emotional and mental health, sensory and communication needs. Modules cover the broad spectrum to focus upon specific and more complex needs. You will challenge your own beliefs and values, as well as those of others, and become an advocate for change.
  6. English Language & Teaching
    Explore how English is learned as a first and second language, how it is structured and how its social use impacts our everyday lives. Develop practical skills to teach English in schools, online, or internationally and start your journey to support people with language disorders, students in primary, secondary, or FE contexts, and EAL learners to develop the language skills they need.
  7. Theology
    Whether you describe yourself as agnostic, atheist or a firm believer, if you have a passionate interest in the ethical, political, philosophical and religious issues of our time, this course is perfect for you. Here at BGU we can look back on many years of experience in teaching Religious Studies, Philosophy and Theology. We designed this degree to bring the oldest of academic subjects into the present day – combining the richness of ancient tradition with the relevance and freshness of a 21st century subject.

    Our Health and Wellbeing courses an interprofessional and dynamic approach to learning that provides students with a framework for exploring key issues in contemporary public health and wellbeing.
  9. Teaching
    Whether you're just starting out, or have already completed your first degree, if you’re looking to begin your career as a Primary or Secondary teacher then our undergraduate and postgraduate courses are excellent pathways to follow. They offer integrated academic and professional preparation for teaching, combining study with practical training to meet the Teachers’ Standards.
