- The Prepaid Meal Card (PPMC) is an amount that students commit to spending in the Refectory or Curiositea during the academic year. If a student spends less than their allocation, they lose the unspent credit at the end of the academic year. If a student spends more than their allocation, they will be charged the outstanding cost at the point of sale.
- Bookings will be taken on a first come first served basis.
- The package bought will be loaded onto a meal card, unique to that student. The individual is identified by a bar code, which must be ‘scanned’ at the till. The amount held in the digital wallet, dependent on which package has been bought, will entitle the student to a choice of beverages, snacks, sandwiches, and meals from either Curiositea or the Refectory served from Monday to Friday.
- The package purchased will be available at the beginning of term and must be used up by end of service on the Friday of the close of the academic year. There is no weekend service of meal packages. No unspent monies will transfer over to the academic year.
- A cooling off period of 14 days after the date of purchase will apply, where a refund can be requested and made (less a deduction of Food purchased) - no delivery service is available.
- Food taken off the premises for consumption is done so at your own risk.
- The meal card commences from the initial day of receipt and maybe purchased from the commencement of term.
- This offer cannot be used in student Union or for the purchase of alcohol.
- Should you lose your card in the first instance you must report the missing card and provide proof of identity to the catering office who will deactivate your card. A replacement can then be reissued.
