Lincolnshire Domestic Abuse Specialist Service (LDASS) are offering a one-day training event.

We are pleased to announce an upcoming training opportunity for employees. The Lincolnshire Domestic Abuse Specialist Service (LDASS) are offering a one-day training event on campus on the 14th of November 2024 (9:30am – 3pm), and they are seeking dedicated individuals who are eager to enhance their skills and knowledge in supporting victims of domestic abuse by becoming Domestic Abuse Champions.

Domestic Abuse Champions are the eyes and ears around the country helping to support proactive early intervention for those experiencing domestic abuse. As a Domestic Abuse Champion, you will receive comprehensive training that will empower you to provide guidance, support, and resources to those affected by domestic violence. This role is not only a commitment to personal growth but also a vital contribution to creating a safer workplace and community.

The training will cover a range of topics, including:

  • What is domestic abuse?
  • How to spot the signs.
  • How to respond.
  • What my boundaries are as a domestic abuse champion.
  • When I need to involve the police.
  • What to do if it is out of working hours.
  • Who I can reach out to if I need support.
