A tiered pricing structure will be implemented to address perceived inequities. Students from CSH will be offered accommodation in higher-cost residences at a subsidised rate.
The University will provide subsidies and ensure that the revised pricing structure supports greater equity and accessibility for lower-income students.
The University recognises the popularity of CSH among international students for its affordability and flexible contracts. Efforts will be made to ensure a smooth transition and maintain the appeal of the new accommodation options.
The closure will allow for a planned maintenance and refurbishment program to be undertaken without disrupting student occupancy, supporting long-term estate sustainability.
