Haw Hill is an important archaeological site situated on the edge of the historic city of Lincoln, that has never been subjected to extensive archaeological excavation. The 2024 Archaeology Field School is our second season of excavations at Haw Hill and forms part of the wider Haw Hill Archaeological Research Project that is exploring this significant, multi-phased site.

The Field School is a rare and exciting opportunity to participate in an archaeological excavation in the City of Lincoln. With the BGU archaeology field school you have the option of arranging your own accommodation or booking rooms on our leafy campus only a short distance from where the dig will take place.

Find more information on Haw Hill here.

The field school will run from Monday 10th June 2024 to Friday 5th July 2024. To register or learn more about the field school, email archaeology@bishopg.ac.uk. With limited places available, early booking is recommended.
